FAQs

Q: How much does Valentine Bike Share Cost?
A: The cost of riding is combination of your pass price & usage fees. Valentine has two pass types, a Single Trip for $10 which includes 2 hours of ride time and a Monthly Pass for $30 which includes unlimited 2 hour trips for 30 days. No matter what pass type you buy, the first two hours of your trip is included!

After your initial two hours, you will start to accrue usage fees. These fees cost $5 per additional hours of ride time.

Q: How do usage fees work?
A: For every hour you ride beyond your initial 2 hours usage fees accrue at a rate of $5 per hour. So, if you ride for 2.5 hours it will cost you an additional $5 on top of your pass price.

Q: How do I rent a bike?
A: Purchase a pass at the kiosk or on the BCycle App. Then follow the check out flow on either the kiosk or BCycle App (which ever you purchased your pass on) to get riding.

Q: How do I return my bike?
A: Firmly push your bike into any available dock and listen for three beeps to signal a successful return. We highly suggest turning on notifications which will let you know when your bike has been successfully checked in.

Q: Do I need to wear a helmet?
A: Helmets are not required by law but we highly suggest our users wear a helmet while riding! Due to sanitation concerns, we do no provide helmets.

Q: How old do you have to be to ride Valentine Bike Share?
A: Our bike share system is for anyone ages 12 and up!

Q: Can I buy a pass with cash?
A: Unfortunately, no. You must have a credit or debit card to buy a pass for Valentine Bike Share.
